The large Mackenzie land basin set amidst mountains in the centre of Te Wai Pounamu (the South Island of New Zealand) is home to the only bird in the world with a beak that bends sideways - ngutuparore (the wrybill). In this framed limited print, Minson depicts this vulnerable species pictures in frmo on Aotearoa's tallest peak Aoraki Maunga (Mt Cook) with intricate Maori and sacred geometric deisgns to emphasise the Maori world view that people are closely connected to the natural world.
