Jane Galloway - Palm Prints

Based in Raglan on New Zealand’s west coast, Jane Galloway graduated from Elam School of Fine Arts in Auckland, where she studied under notable painters Garth Tapper, Bob Ellis, and Don Binney. Immersed in the dynamic art scene of the 1970s, Jane embraced self-motivated learning amidst a shifting landscape that challenged traditional painting techniques.

For over 45 years, Jane has balanced the demands of earning a living with her passion for creativity. Her work spans graphic design for Live Wires NZ and realistic landscape paintings—both well-received, though she continues to seek new ways to express her artistic vision. Jane’s dedication reflects the enduring tension many artists face between commercial success and creative exploration.
