Pauline Morse
A self-taught artist with a background in natural science, Pauline Morse is known for her exquisitely detailed watercolours and etchings of New Zealand’s wildlife and landscapes. Her work has featured on NZ stamps, conservation prints, and in the acclaimed book Birds of the Fiji Bush.
Named NZ Wildlife Artist of the Year in 1992, Pauline now paints the hills and harbours of Porirua in oil, exploring themes of land, loss, and connection through her Whenua series. She lives and works in Pukerua Bay, creating alongside her partner, printmaker John Anderson.
