Existential Table and 2 Benches

This stunning piece of artwork is all made from a single curved macrocarpa log.  The grain is continuous through each component, the timber retains its inherent stability and strength.  

This tree was blown down in Cyclone Gabrielle.  The white stone and pounamu inlays are from the West Coast of the South Island and help to reference a squashed Yin/Yang overall tabletop shape, suggesting the balance in nature and life that we should strive to achieve.
