This work is a reflection on the interconnectedness of all things, the
sense of belonging, and the idea of being a part of something larger
than oneself.
The use of a serene, earthy green palette evokes a deep connection to
the natural world, while the segmented composition serves as a visual
metaphor for layers of time and identity, shaped by those who came
before us, the land we live on, and the communities we are a part of.
This work offers a space for collective reflection, where the viewer
might see themselves, their tūpuna, and their whenua. It’s not about one individual, but a shared continuous flow.
